Lake Clark Lodge is located inside Alaska’s Lake Clark National Park and Preserve. It is uniquely situated on the point of a long peninsula that overlooks beautiful Lake Clark, Alaska’s 2nd largest lake. This location allows guests to easily access the best sightseeing and recreational opportunities of Lake Clark National Park as well as Katmai National Park.

 The experience at Lake Clark Lodge is one of genuine Alaska adventure in some of the wildest places left on Planet Earth. Lake Clark National Park and Katmai National Park are their backyard playgrounds. These protected areas are true wonders of the world, and the perfect place for an authentic Alaska experience.

 There is a myriad of adventures available for all ages and activity levels. Lake Clark Lodge will customize their adventure program to you and your specific interests. As a guest, you will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of Alaska activities. Locally, there is fantastic fishing, lake kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, packrafting, campfire picnics, boat tours, and more. The lodge has a float plane to fly out guests for further adventures like bear viewing, wildlife photography, flightseeing, fly fishing, hiking, packrafting, and more.

For those National Park collectors, they offer tours in both Lake Clark National Park and Katmai National Park. They visit both Proenneke’s Cabin in Lake Clark and the famous bear viewing at Brooks Falls in Katmai. Their location is perfectly situated to maximize your options in both of these incredible national parks.

Lodge & Dining Details

Lake Clark Lodge is a classic North American Lodge with a hallmark “great room”, fireplace and large windows. The lodge is surrounded by a large deck for guests to look out on the lake and mountain setting surrounding Keyes Point. Lake Clark Lodge was built to entertain inone of Alaska’s great wilderness settings. There are many common areas and cozy nooks in the lodge for guests to enjoy including a game room, pool room, library, 2 full bars, and the great room. There are 8 double occupancy guest rooms equipped with your choice of a king-sized bed or 2 single beds. Each guest room has its own full bathroom.

 The lodge chef will prepare three hearty meals for you each day. All meals are served home style and are all-you-can-eat. With a focus on fresh, and local ingredients their world class chefs will give you a culinary experience like never before, and they accommodate almost all dietary restrictions, food allergies, and personal preferences.

 Breakfast includes hot and cold cereals, muffins, breads, fruits, eggs, French toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage, reindeer sausage, juices, and coffee. Lunch usually consists of fresh made sandwiches and soups. Dinner is the main course of the day. Menus include Alaskan-style appetizers, NY strip, prime rib, crab legs, fresh salmon, halibut, shrimp, chicken, and pork. A variety of desserts complete the Lake Clark Lodge dining experience.

Sample Itinerary

3-Day / 3-Night Trip
  • Day 1

    Your trip starts with a late afternoon departure from Anchorage for the approximately 1-hour scenic flight to the lodge's landing strip. Lodge staff will meet you there and take you the short distance to the lodge by vehicle. Here you will be welcomed by staff followed by an orientation meeting. After getting settled into your room, you will enjoy appetizers and a delicious dinner. 

  • Day 2

    Wake up early for a hot breakfast and coffee. Prepare for a full day of guided activities in Lake Clark National Park. 

  • Day 3

    Enjoy a hearty breakfast and prepare for a float plane adventure to go packrafting, fishing, hiking or bear viewing in Katmai National Park. 

  • Day 4

    Enjoy a full day of local activities like stand-up paddleboarding, lake kayaking, hiking, or a scenic boat tour. Return to the lodge and gather your belongings before catching your evening flight back to Anchorage with an estimated 7pm arrival.

Travel Details

How to get there

A trip with Lake Clark Lodge begins in Anchorage. They provide the air transportation from Anchorage directly to the lodge. This 1-hour scenic flight departs in the afternoon. Upon arrival at the lodge's landing strip you will be met by lodge staff who will take you the short distance to the lodge by vehicle.

You will depart Lake Clark Lodge in the evening following a full day of activities. The charter flight from the lodge's landing strip should have you back to Anchorage by 7pm allowing you enough time to catch a red eye home if necessary.
